I began entering print competitions in 2016 with a sense of curiosity and a willingness to play. The first time I entered, I didn’t fully understand what I was submitting and mostly just winged it. I’ve failed more times than I’ve succeeded, but those failures have taught me far more than the wins ever could.

Competing at the state, national, and international levels has given me space to experiment, stretch my skills, and try things I might not have attempted otherwise. Some of these images exist simply because I wanted to see what would happen if I pushed an idea a little further. Print competition keeps me learning, but it also keeps me having fun. When the process stays playful, growth has a way of sneaking in. These images reflect that journey: curiosity, risk, refinement, and joy in the making.

If you have a special idea or story to tell, I’d love to hear it. Let’s make art together.

Art. For when the stories matter.
